ATLANTA, GA – October 21st, 2018, thousands of foodies visited Historic Fourth Ward Park for the 17th annual Taste of Atlanta 2018. The food and drink festival showcasing Atlanta’s restaurant scene featured over 90 local restaurants throughout the weekend, plus on-stage cooking demos, hands-on cooking classes and more. Congratulations to Simon’s Restaurant for winning Best Taste on Sunday!
Atlanta has always been home to some rather stunning restaurants and bar, spaces so jaw-droppingly gorgeous that they almost – almost!—lend credence to the expression “eat with your eyes first.” Under chef Allysa Storms, this new Midtown fusion spot takes Southern comfort classics and gives them a burst of global flavors. Designed by Nigel Ingleton, the central bar’s a stunner, with plush tufted red leather below and translucent glass baubles above, while the multilevel open floor plan provides numerous vistas from which to take in the modern décor and tony clientele.
If you want a drink, you’re in the right city. Simon Guobadia’s new Midtown spot offers Southern cooking with global flavors in a contemporary, multilevel space, while the bar stirs up alluring drinks for the energetic crowds.
Simon’s pays homage to the classic New York dining experience, a stroll to your neighborhood eatery where everyone knows your name. The menu offers Southern takes on American dishes, with items including grilled flank steak, fried brie, Niçoise salad, Guinness-braised short ribs, red Snapper and Dr. Pepper- glazed pork belly.
“The vibrant atmosphere and innovative menu are a natural fit for Midtown’s eclectic dining culture,” said owner Simon Guobadia. “The stylish culture and people coupled with the exciting evolution and development of the area are a great match for Simon’s Restaurant.”
